Hi Mark,
Sorry to take so long to reply!
Unfortunately Jaksta for Mac not currently able to capture from BBC iPlayer. We are investigating this issue. The underlying problem is that sites often change the way they stream video and we have to catch up with the new systems.
Thanks,
Ben

just purchased Jaksta Music Miner 1.3.4 for Mac. Seems all music files from Hoopla convert to mp4a then to AAC when added to itunes. There is no Format Selector at the bottom of the Jaksta Window ? I am new to your products and only need to download music but would like the option of different conversions.
Also when recording from hoopla it seems to be intermittently either double recording same song into a single file or stopping in the middle of the song and starting over. I can exit and go back into the application and it may record the next song or two perfectly. Then it will do the same thing again until you exit and restart the application.
Love the application and anything I can do to help improve let me know.
Thanks
Roger
Hi Roger,
Sorry, Jaksta Music Miner doesn't have a format selection. I can put forward a suggestion for this if you want. The .m4a files are AAC - m4a is the file format container and AAC is the name of the internal audio codec used by the files.
Can you send us your log file the next time you get "damaged" downloads from Hoopla? You can find it by going to the Preferences and clicking Find Log File.
Thanks,
Ben

Thank you for the response. Log File attached as well as a jpg of the Jaksta Window showing the file lengths. even on the second try the lengths are not correct. You can hear the song restart if you play the files. I can send you the music files if you need them.
I am using a Mac Mini Mid 2011 I7 with 16 GB Ram. These results are using Safari but I get the same results with Chrome. I will try and provide any more info or files that you need.
Thanks
Roger

Added info from above. It is sometimes hard to hear when a song begins over when listening to Jazz recordings because of the different versions of the same song. Here is an oldie that is short and is the same length no matter what album it is on. You can clearly hear when it starts over and is almost double the length of the original.
Thanks
Roger

Just did upgrade to El Capitan . Jaksta Music Recorder (Miner) will no longer open?
Hi Roger,
Sorry for the delay.
Can you make sure that you install the latest version of Jaksta Music Miner and run it from your Applications folder? If you have another copy of it somewhere else, this may be an old version that you are running. You can always go to the menu and choose About Jaksta Music Miner, and see whether you are running version 1.3.6.

Unfortunately the extended song lengths is a more difficult problem to solve. This is probably due to the site playing around with timestamps in the stream (negative time values etc.) that may cause some of the music to be duplicated.
If you still get either problem with the latest version, can you send us the log file again?
Thanks,
Ben

Hi
I'm now having problems with Jaksta working with sites that used to work.
I have the latest version.
I used to be able to download from here:

Its a flash player.
But it is not picking it up on Safari or Chrome on my mac book. (latest iOS)
Can you help?
Thanks
