Activation Code Invalid

I have been using Jaksta Media Recorder for a long time now. I have just updated my Jaksta Media Recorder 2022 to the latest (2023.5.8.1), and my when I enter the activation key, I receive an error message "key is invalid". I have checked, and I have definitely entered the key details correctly.

I would be grateful for your assistance in activating the updated version.

Also, I now have three separate versions of Jaksta Media Recorder on my system (7, 2022 and 2023). Once I have properly activated JMR 2023, can I safely uninstall the previous versions without causing problems with JMR 2023?

3 people have this problem

Is there a possibility to get an earlier version?

As I suspected.

The download page on the website clearly states that all the JMR2023 versions so far have been fully accessible to existing licence holders. It looks like they are trying to implement a two step validation for the software and it just isn't working. I hope our failed attempts at validating the key will not be met with a "too many attempts" banner locking us out when it's finally sorted.

Still the same not working licence issue with this new version JMR-2023.5.19.4: I still get an invalid key licence.

They (Jaksta) definitlly change the existing licence contract with the introduction of the new 2023 version, resetting all working lincences and making them useless with these new 2023 version. It's unbelivable!

Another new version of JMR2023 has appeared on the website and is available to download. Very wary of doing this though as it may adversely affect the running of my current version again.

I tried to email support directly and got an error message back saying the email address I sent to was "not found". And yet someone keeps putting out upgrades to JMR?

Their HQ is in Australia; does anyone local to them want to give them a call?

Has anyone heard ANYTHING from Jaksta, or have they gone completely silent on this issue?

Anyone out there brave enough to try JMR 2023.5.19.4 on the website today... still no notes about it though.

When I say on a anually base, above, I mean that a full year is the only upgrade period available to the user. To continue his upgrades he needs to pay another full year.

Yes, that's really true and since I'm also a Replay Capture Suite user since 2012, I did make a search on the new upgrade Replay Capture Suite 2023 and I find out that the new licence mode working is now on a anually base. I say this because I suspect that Jaksta is now trying to implement this type of licencement. None of my various licence keys work on the new upgraded versions, be it from Applian Technologies, be it from Jaksta Technologies Pty Ltd, and I should say that have already payed several licences key all over this time.

If your system is set to "create a restore point" when downloading windows updates, you may be able to take your computer back to a point before JMR2023 was installed. Go to control panel, system status, system recovery. Look at the screens carefully and you will be able to discover what programmes will be affected if you run the restore. This process does not change any of your files or documents. Only proceed if you are happy to do so.
Marcos... on your computer go to "this PC" and click on your downloads list. Chances are you will see the links to previous versions of Jaksta which will enable you to return to the earlier version. Before you do, check out the thread "Reinstall Jaksta 2022" on this forum and follow the steps that have been kindly explained by another contributor. JMR2023 seems to have corrupted some DVR components so the uninstalling of this version is important before reinstalling the earlier version.

Charlie Lacey thank you, unfortunately I have deleted all previous downloads

Same here, luckily v2022  still on my PC. They cant be going to the wall if they just released a new version can they?
