Hi John,
Glad to hear the screen recorder is now working okay.
Whenever you have issues with files not appearing in iTunes, it's best to check the original file - right click (or Control-click) on the file in the Jaksta list and select "Show in Finder" from the popup. You should see the file in Finder. Are you able to play the file (in iTunes or otherwise)? Are you able to drag it into iTunes manually? Does it appear?
Usually with this type of issue, the problem is that iTunes is refusing to accept it. It may be that it format is incompatible (a Jaksta conversion issue), or it may be that the whole file is corrupt (probably a site issue).
Thanks,
Ben

hi ben,
thanks once again for your reply. before i restarted my computer and then reinstalled jaksta deluxe with no improvement. this time i shutdown my mac mini and unplugged the unit. i waited a few minutes and then plugged it back in. again i waited a minute or so and then restarted the unit. now i have had success with screen recorder. however, i still have intermittent problems with music inner and jaksta trying to record tracks. they do not always transfer to iTunes.
thanks again,
john
Hi John,
Sorry for the confusion, can you send the "Jaksta Screen Recorder.log" file to us rather than the recording itself? You can find it by going to File|Reveal Log File... in the menu.
There is also another thing we check - if you go to System Preferences->Sound, and view the Input and Output tabs it shows a list of audio devices, with the active one highlighted. I've attached a couple of screenshots of this view from my machine.
If you keep this window visible at the side while you have Screen Recorder open, when you start a recording you should be able to see it switch from the default active device to the "Soundflower (2ch)". Then when you stop the recording you should see it switch back to the original one. Is this what you see?
Thanks,
Ben

hi ben,
thanks for getting back to me. it does seem that my problems began with the latest mac update to SIERRA VERSION 10.12.1. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD ISSUES WITH THIS VERSION?
thanks again,
john
Hi John,
Sorry for the delay again.
Unfortunately I'm starting to run out of ideas for what to suggest. Can you try recording again, and then send us the log file after stopping the recording? Assuming that you still have no sound.
Thanks,
Ben

any other suggestions?
another thing, for some reason the letter after L dose not show up in typing. i got "some" to spell correctly with spell check.
hi ben,
did you find any solution to y problem?
i have had luck getting music miner to work.

hi ben,
we are using version 10.12.1 sierra on our computer. is that the problem? we are having no luck with any of the jaksta options. we can'y get any to function correctly. i have downloaded and reinstalled a new copy of jaksta deluxe.
thanks,
john
hi ben,
when i open perferences i only get an option for sunflower(2ch) or no audio. nothing about "build in microphone".
i tried downloading a demo version of screen recorder as another user on the computer but i get the same results.
any other suggestions?
thanks,
john
Hi John,
Sorry for the long delay!
Do you still hear sound while the recording is going on?
I'm not sure why this is occurring, but there are a few other things you can check:
In the Preferences you can choose what device is used to record the audio. If you set this to "Built-in Microphone" does it work? This may not be good quality and will likely have sounds in the background, but if it works we know the problem is connected with Soundflower.
Secondly, are you able to log in as a different user on your machine, then install and use Jaksta Screen Recorder? Does this fare any better?
Thanks,
Ben

hi ben,
thanks for getting back to me. i tried reinstalling screen recorder and using it with high volume. however, still no luck with any audio recording. i recently installed mac os sierra version 10.12 (16A323). would this new version of mac be causing my problem?
thanks,
john
Hi John,
Can you try a few things:
First just reinstall it, in case it has lost permissions to capture the audio:

When Jaksta Screen Recorder is recording, make sure you turn the volume up high.
When you play back the recorded video afterwards, turn its volume up high. It's possible the sound is very quiet.
Any luck?
Thanks,
Ben
