Yes you can add to the file name and to the ID3 tags as well.
Settings > Naming Rules, for the file name
And schedule > Tags for the ID3 tags.

When a podcast or radio show recording has completed, is there an automatic setting to attach the date/time to the filename of the recording? See example
Jan 1 2016 - Filename of the recording.mp3
If you record a reoccurring show or program, the date/time in the filename would be a helpful addition.
